The Jelly Foundation was created by Sarah Froeber in 2002 to "sweeten the lives of children" around the world. Ms. Froeber donates a percentage of the profits from the works she creates for children to The Jelly Foundation. Additional funding for The Jelly Foundation comes from tax-exempt donations made by individuals and corporations.
The Jelly Foundation grants money to non -profit organizations which provide services for children and/or their families. Typical allocations range between $500 and $1000. Past recipients of grants from the Jelly Foundation include: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; The NC Museum of Natural Sciences; Carrboro Elementary School; The Children of Vietnam; UNICEF; The Southern Documentary Fund; and Habitat for Humanity.
To request funding, please send an email letter to froeb1@aol.com describing your project in detail, its cost and how it will "sweeten the lives of children." Grant requests are accepted each year between January 1 and June 1. Funding decisions and allocations are made by September 1.
